Forza 3

Closing out the Kinect demonstrations at Microsoft's E3 media briefing today, developer Turn 10 revealed that a new Forza game will be coming to the Xbox 360 next year with Kinect support.

The presenter explained that Turn 10's new racer would allow players to control the in-game vehicles by holding their hands in the standard 10-and-two position on an imaginary steering wheel. The game will also let players inspect their vehicles by literally walking around the room -- going as far as checking out the engine, hopping inside the car, and fiddling with the elements on the dash.

Look for the next Forza sometime in 2011.

E3 2010: Harmonix Demos Dance Central at Microsoft's E3 Press Conference

Dance Center

Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos was brought out during Microsoft's pre-E3 press conference to demonstrate Dance Central, their new choreographed dancing game for Kinect.

Dance Central will feature 600 moves from 90 different choreographed routines, with songs ranging from rap and hip hop to pop and R&B. Specific artists mentioned were Lady Gaga and the Beastie Boys, and the main demonstration was to No Doubt's "Hella Good."

The demo mainly focused on one player busting dance moves with their character doing the same moves on-screen. But the player was backed up by two other players also dancing on stage, with two other characters also on-screen, but it wasn't clear if these back-up dancers' moves were also being registered by Kinect and affecting the in-game actions, or if they were just there to look cool.
